Ceremonial “Tsuyuhikari” is the grade we reserve for matcha that is whisked and served on its own, where colour, aroma and sweetness are the whole experience. It is stone-milled by Ryutsu Service in Kikugawa, Shizuoka — the slow, traditional way.

Because it is milled on request, this grade is made to order. Tell us when you need it and we will confirm timing before you plan a tea service, tasting menu or hotel lounge program around it.

Like all WA MATCHA, it is made by Ryutsu Service Co., Ltd. in Kikugawa, Shizuoka — a fourth-generation tea house founded in 1905 — from leaf shaded for at least thirty days before picking. Read about our origin.
